Scott Menez - Teaching Pastor

“Whether in preaching, teaching, counseling or training leadership, Christ-centeredness is my objective"

Menez FamilyScott was born and raised in Walnut Creek, California and became a believer at a young age. By his early 20’s he was working alongside church planting missionaries in very rural parts of Northern California, and prior to their marriage, Scott and Gina began serving together in church plant ministries throughout the region.

After Scott and Gina were married in 1988, Scott continued planting churches in Northern California where they lived on a remote ranch. He gained the moniker “The Cowboy Pastor” since he shared Christ just as readily from the saddle as from the pulpit.

“It was our privilege to work with godly men planting several churches and to eventually be sent out to plant churches on our own.  God used that time to produce numerous church plants where we had the opportunity to become deeply involved in the training of leadership, discipling young believers, grow through years of preaching and teaching, and learning to shepherd Christ’s flock.  To God’s glory, all of our church plants were turned over to godly trained and called men that continue to lead their congregations to this day.” Scott has spent nearly 25 years planting churches.

Scott attended Los Angeles Baptist College, Shasta Bible College and is a graduate of Cornerstone Seminary in Vallejo, CA. His passion for ministry is Christ-centeredness.  “Whether in preaching, teaching, counseling or training leadership, Christ-centeredness is my objective.  The Word of God is my all-sufficient guide and it is my privilege to be involved in helping souls discover true Christ-centeredness in their lives.”

Scott is passionate about Jesus Christ and brings boundless energy to serving and glorifying Him.  He loves his roles as teaching pastor and shepherd to the people he loves and to a community without Christ. Scott is a Christ-centered leader, visionary, men’s mentor and a Biblical counselor.

He has traveled overseas many times to train men in their native countries through pastors’ conferences, is involved in several international missions organizations and is on the board of Grace School of Theology in Pleasant Hill, CA., and Cornerstone Seminary in Vallejo, CA.

In 2009 Scott responded to God’s call and moved his family to Hollister, CA., where he is now the Pastor/Teacher at Grace Bible Church.

“My greatest personal interest outside of Christ and His Word is Gina and my boys.  I thoroughly enjoy every moment with them, and as a family we love God’s creation.  As time permits you’ll find our family often enjoying God’s creation through camping, hunting and fishing, and lots of baseball or golf.” Scott and Gina have 4 boys, Colton, Conner, Caleb and Canon.
