“But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.”
2 Corinthians 3:18
The Church and the Family Working in Unison
Our culture today poses many challenges to the family and our youth, but the Bible responds to our generation as it has for all others, “that [God’s] divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.” (2 Pet 1:3)
The Lord is our portion and He is sufficient for all things! He is the one who equips and empowers the local church (Eph 4:11-12), and parents (Deut 6:6-7, Eph 6:4), working in partnership for the gospel and the discipleship of our youth.
The goal of Student Ministries is to support families with the shared purpose of proclaiming the gospel to our youth while raising up godly men and women who love the Lord Jesus Christ and desire to passionately proclaim Him to the world. Knowing that the greatest need in a teenager’s life is spiritual renewal (John 3), our teaching is fueled by the preaching the Gospel, for it is “the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes.” (Rom 1:16) We emphasize a Christ-centered gospel-directed discipleship beginning in the family and supported by the church.
Jr. High / High School Youth
• Time: Every Wednesday, 6:30 pm
• Place: Youth Room, Christian Education Building, 634 Monterey Street, Hollister, CA
Our Time together includes dinner at 6:30, followed by games, Bible study and prayer. We’ll conclude our time by 8:30. (Parents please be sure to pick up your child by 8:30pm). Our goal is an evening centered in biblical teaching where youth are encouraged to allow the Word of God to challenge, instruct and transform, (2 Tim 3:16-17, Heb 4:12, 2 Cor 3:18) to the end that we would see hearts changed and lives devoted to Christ and to one another.
