Summer 2017 Scripture Memorization
Summer is here…
and with it a chance to read a good book, visit the beach, take a vacation, or just relax outside on a warm summer evening. But what about making this a summer to commit to sharing the gospel with friends and neighbors? One of the best ways to equip yourself to share is to memorize a few verses that clearly and succinctly present the saving message of the gospel.
What is the Romans Road?
Verse 1 – Week of July 2
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
Romans 3:23
Verse 2 – Week of July 9
as it is written:
“None is righteous, no, not one; no one understands; no one seeks for God.
All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one.”
– Romans 3:10-12
Verse 3 – Week of July 16
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
– Romans 6:23
Verse 4 – Week of July 23
but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.– Romans 5:8
Verse 5 – Week of July 30
because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.

Verse 6 – Week of August 6
For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
– Romans 10:13
Verse 7 – Week of August 13
Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Verse 8 – Week of August 20
There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

Verse 9 – Week of August 27
For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
